I've been totally MIA here on DA for quite some time now, so sorry about that!;;;


Right now I'm in Manchester doing my 5 month character animation internship at an animation studio called Studio Distract (www.studiodistract.com)! I'm having a great time so far, and I've animated quite a lot these 5 weeks I've been here. Hopefully I'll manage to improve by the ol' simple way of just animating lots and lots! (Something I really havn't done much of until now...)


I'm also hoping I'll be able to pick up drawing as well while being here, but work really hasn't left me with much free time, besides the weekends... which, y'know, is spent sleeping... xD;


It's not remarkable in any way, but I'm going to try and put some sound/music to that final project of mine from school to update with as well later on. You can already see a (big) portion of it in my showreel though...

School is out for the holidays! It's been going good so far, but I need to work on my focus and motivation. My mind has been pretty occupied though these past months, so I havn't really caught up with anything on DA. Quite the contrary, really... x.x You people make so many gorgeous drawings! ♥

We're going to create an early showreel of our animations in school in the near future, which I thought I'd update with whenever that'll be. ...I'm not sure how much that is to look forward to though, haha. xD;

Oh man, I don't think I have just one favorite... A song that makes me happy to listen to is the ending theme to Loco Roco. I'll go with that one this time.


#5. Tell us your favourite colour. Is it dark like your personality?
I like the colour blue... although I never really draw or dress in blue or anything. Usually I like 'light' colours rather than dark. Though dark colours can be nice too, if used right.


#6. How many pageviews do you have right now? What's your goal?
Right now I have 11,150, which is totally awesome! I'm so amazed people still find their way here considering how seldom I update and how incredibly inactive I am in general (you're all so great! ♥ ).
I have no goal considering pageviews. I'm here because it's fun to share drawings.


#7. Everyone's considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?
No, never. But I'm not a very active member, so I generally wouldn't notice if something is amiss somewhere.


#8. What deviant do you admire? Is it because of their art, or their personality?
I have no one in particular that I admire more than anyone else.

#10. What does your username have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?
Mine is just a really boring combination of the first two letters of my first and last name. I usually have a hard time coming up with names of any kind.


#11. Tell us your favourite animal and why.
My mum told me that I was really into elephants when I was younger, but I can't really remember that. xD Nowadays I really like cats.


#12. Some people say that they can remember people better if they associate them with an animal or make up a rhyme. Make one for yourself.
Haha, I'm totally bad at anything involving witty words. As for associating myself with an animal...hm, maybe a turtle? Because they are never in a hurry? xD


#13. I can speak bits and pieces of different languages. What about you? What are they?
My mother tongue is Swedish, and I'm fairly good at English. I used to study German back in high school, but I've forgotten most of it. Also took a beginners class in Japanese some years back, but I've forgotten most of that too.


#14. How do you feel about your art? Is it where you want it to be, or are you improving?
I have very mixed feelings about my art: I do like to draw, but I don't draw or sketch often at all. It can go months at a time before I pick up a pencil. It's a nice feeling to draw when it happens, but if I'm not inspired or motivated I just don't do it. So it's quite obviously only a sporadic hobby of mine.
This would also lead to me not improving, I would say, due to that I draw so seldom. Of course I would like to be better at it, but I have no motivation to actually do the work for it as I only draw when I feel like it.


#15. Do you use copics, prismacolours, or any other type of marker?
Never. The fact that I can't erase if I screw up scares me.


#16. Wow! Your avatar is adorable! Where'd you get it? And what exactly is it?
It's a render of a 3D character I made in school back in spring of 2006. Her name is Lillie, and I use her as my avatar because I like how she turned out.

I'm also really really sorry I havn't caught up yet. -_-; At least I can blame this past 1½ month on not having a computer, maybe...


I wish I had more to update with, but I really havn't been drawing or sketching almost anything this year at all. x.x There's one old drawing I finished last December that I'll update with later, but this year I've only drawn one concept art and finished another ooold drawing, save for some kroki at the beginning of the year. ... If I've done anything else, I've forgotten it completely. 2 Drawing certainly hasn't been anywhere near any sort of priority this year, it seems. I think we can also call it a super-major art-slump. ;


On another note, I'm off to school again in 2 weeks! It's a continuation of my previous education I suppose; I'm going to study 3D animation in Stockholm for 1½ years! As I havn't done any animating nor much drawing this past year, I'm a little worried how it'll go... But I'm also looking forward to it, and I really hope I'll be able to learn lots about animating!

Man, has time flown by like whoa these past months or what... @.@ I'm a very bad person when it comes to keeping up with communities (...or onlineness entirely, more like it I suppose ), but I'm trying to catch up a little at a time now that things has started to settle down a bit for me.

Small recap:
In February I sold my apartment and moved back in with my parents on March 1st, and then spend 2 months without internet in their house. Last week I finally moved out to our barn (which sounds worse than it is ,p) to a very cozy and nice little apartment we have there, so yayz, I finally have internet on my own computer again! *joy* And all my things in one place, hurrah!

I've also spend this last month working on school applications (the last one I'm sending in is due on Wednesday), so hopefully I'll be off to school again come fall. It looks like I'm heading into 3D animation; I really liked working with it at my former education, but I feel I need much MUCH more training. There's not really many extensive animation-educations in Sweden though, sadly...


I've hardly drawn or sketched anything since December though, so I really have nothing to update with. But I'll put something up as soon as that changes. v


[EDIT] Got reminded that I actually do have something to update with; 2 compilations of animations I did last spring in school during our final game-project.

Holidays came and went and I'm now back in my own apartment, with internet access on my own computer again, wee~! \^^/ I've had a wonderful month and a half with my family though, with get-togethers, holidays and birthdays and whatnot; I had especially fun after my birthday playing Mario Galaxy with my otherwise non-gaming twinsister and her fiancé. ♥♥♥ She only ever played Mario 64 and the Monkey Island games with me waaay back, so it's been really fun to finally have a new Mario game to play with her. (We haven't finished it yet though, but we do have 61 stars at least so far)
